A medicine drum holds a sacred relationship between the animal, the earth and the person who brings it into being. It becomes a vessel for prayer, a companion in ceremony and a way of deepening our connection to ourselves, the natural world and the spirit realms.

To birth your own medicine drum is to enter into this relationship with reverence. To honour the life that has made its creation possible and to weave your own intentions, prayers and medicine into something that will walk alongside you for years to come.

For the drum is not simply something we create with our hands. It is something we come into relationship with through our hearts.

BIRTH YOUR MEDICINE DRUM

THE IMMERSION

We invite you to gather with us for a full day of sacred ceremony, devoted to the birthing of your very own medicine drum.

Held within an intimate group, this immersion is an invitation to step away from the outside world and enter into a day of creation, connection and deep reverence. You will be guided through the process of birthing your drum by hand, with your choice of a 15-inch kangaroo, goat or deer hide. Throughout the day, we will weave together ceremony, shamanic journeying, intention setting and prayer, creating space for you to connect with the animal medicine of your drum and the deeper meaning behind its creation.

We honour the life of the animal whose hide you have received, approaching the entire birthing process with gratitude, respect and reverence. The weaving itself becomes ceremony. Every thread becomes an offering. Every knot holds an intention. Every movement an opportunity to bring your presence and prayers into the drum you are creating. There is no rushing this process. We allow space for connection, reflection and whatever wishes to unfold as your drum slowly takes form beneath your hands.

This is so much more than creating a sacred tool. It is a day of devotion, reverence and deep ceremony. An invitation to create something deeply personal while beginning a sacred relationship with the medicine of your drum.

AN INTIMATE GATHERING

We intentionally keep our medicine drum birthing ceremonies intimate, allowing us to honour the depth of the experience and offer personal guidance throughout the day.

There is something special about gathering in a small group, each person bringing their own intentions and prayers, yet sharing in the sacred experience of creation.

We believe this process deserves time, presence and care. A space where you can slow down, be fully immersed in the experience and allow your drum to come into being without feeling rushed.

No previous experience is needed. Simply come as you are, with an open heart and a willingness to be present with the process.
